Smack ma bitch up

It was a dark, quiet night - ja ja who sez i was talking about the Prodigy track?! On a more serious note, its more like reality tv with the full drama minus Mark Burnett's cam crew. I ain't joking about my first experience with spousal abuse from a reluctant eye-witness POV where a lady decidedly picked my car to stop and a man, presumably her husband, follows and gives her a huge slap right across her face before she can hop into her only hope for escape (aka my trusty li'l 4WD which unfortunately hasn't been infused with bat-mobile gadgets coz otherwise i'd have blown him away to smithereens). He continues slapping her to the side of the street, completely dashing all li'l hope of escape with me. In my frozen mental state of panic, i could see the dejection and hopelessness fill her face. I guess her hopelessness spilled over to me as I didn't think to pick up the phone to call the cops either. Here was this poor woman being slapped by this low down character and all i could do was just watch him do it until he threatened me to mind my own business. My only consolation is he did not lift a finger on his li'l son who was screaming in fear at the top of his lungs, hanging on to his mother's hand whilst his father slapped his mother around in the middle of the street. All my prayers are with her that he does not fulfill his 'til death do us part vow. And GaySeb, it's no snap ma picture either ok?! ;P

Jalopy Happy in Phuket

Yes, yes i know - trust the Thais to cash in on somethin' like dat. But u really gotta give it to 'em for being the resilient and enterprising lot dat they are. The tsunami may not exactly have been on the wish list to Santa but here in Phuket, the locals have pretty much picked up the pieces. Sure you can still see the after-efx of the tragedy of shattered corals & flattened buildings, especially on Patong, which is devoid of the usual farang capacity and flurry of activity. I suppose it's only been 4 months since and peeps are still paranoid. But hey, there ain't no floating limbs nor fingers about-'coz otherwise the dolphins wouldn't be having their fun under the sun. We're talking a whole school romp here and they didn't look like they were in a hurry to find Nemo either *grin* Ah-huh. After all, life goes on and it's still "Land Ahoy!" for 'em sailor boys... p/s: Kudos on the rapid clean-up & rebuilding and thanks for da warm hospitality. Its turned out to be a nice, hot, sweaty & spa-ful holiday. Posted by Hello

Sun Sea Sand

Raya island. The sun, the sea, the sand. Pretty ain't it - on the surface anyways. Look a little closer and you'll spot tsunami-broken corals strewn across the beach. Ah-huh, and if you do a 180 degrees zoom, you might be able to spot a cute white boy or 2 in their boardshorts & tanned abs, pitching in to restore the island *wink* Posted by Hello
